Village Inn, owned by the same people as Butter Smith, has a promotion every year where customers can come in and get a free slice of pie with the purchase of an entree.
I'll be honest when this was presented, it was meant to be more of a "big swing" idea. We didn't think they'd pick it, but when they did, we ran with it. Using local talent, sets, and production companies we created a campaign that caught the public's attention. Even during filming, the community was engaged and interested. Luckily, this interest transformed into action and caused every location to sell so much pie they ran out!
